Boy, we are all busy doing fun things. Everything from new cars, old husbands, grandkids, kids, friends and not so friendly people. Working and playing.. gas prices may have slowed us down but not stopped us. Just like our weight and lifestyle changes. This is quite an interesting group... I love hearing of all the fun things ( and not so fun ). Today is a good day to head out to the thrift shops. I want to find a few nice pairs of jeans. OMG I haven't worn jeans in years... This should be fun.... Have a Blessed Day.. .. .. Millie

What a treat, I never get to check in on Saturdays. Chuck is out of town so I am at his house letting his dogs out and took the time to get on the puter. He is so old fashioned I think he thinks of the puter as an evil spirit( just because he will not even try to learn****ep threatening not to check his E-mail anymore for him. But like having kids, it is easier to just do it than to listen to him fuss, whine and complain. I Went to a baby shower this morning for my foster daughter, due in 2 weeks with a baby boy. Now Iam up here taking care of Chucks dogs, in a couple of hours I need to go to a graduation party. Tomorrow, it is church, rush my Mom and gradkids home, 15 miles back up here to let the dogs out, then rush to a bridal shower, then go see "Sex in the City " movie  with my daughter. I think she can  say every line in every episode of the series. If Star Trek fans are Trekies does that make Sex in the City fans Sexies?? After that I rush to night church. Oh for a relaxing weekend. I need to go out and plant a couple tomato plants, but I would have to change my clothes and probably get all sweaty. Blessings

Hi, Carla and our wonderful OFF Sistahs!! I'm venting here.... 'cuse me.  And it doesn't require any answers or thoughts.. fine if you want to give them, just not required. I've gained 3 lbs..  I'm weighing 157... I don't like it.  Now you'd think that 157 wouldn't be a problem and it's just THREE pounds... but here's the dilemma... I just put on a 1X skirt I was 'throwing out' and the damn thing fits... it's been too big for two years.  My 12's are too tight...and unattainable and my 14's are a little snug... my 16's are too big in the waist but fit my panni without cupping.  I'm horrified. Now here's the rest of the story.  I can't get ONE more thing in my closet.  I just got out one of my plastic bins to put my sweaters in...NO ONE should have 18 sweaters (long sleeve knits) but I need them to go with the 32 pair of pants hanging in my closet.  I have two long racks of clothes... I've got a whole floor of clothes in the living room to get rid of.  All of which are probably not more than two years old..... All of the pants fit.... NOW here's more of the story... I went thrift store shopping last weekend and really found some good buys..... 4 pair of Alfred Dunners and two still had new tags... 4 tops and 5 pairs of pants later ($23), I was headed home... and looking for hangars... so today, being bored out of my skull, I went to Southlake Town Centre... terribly upscale... and close to home... found a sign outside of Sigrid Olsen that said "everything 70% off".  I had to go in..Now mind you, I have never even been able to go into that store... until today.... $161 dollars later... and size 16's.... I emerged with 4 pair of linen capris, some great tops.   I wish I drank or had a sex addiction. This is getting expensive....  That damned three pounds. Janet

Hey Janet: I have the same problem ... I like to spend money on clothes and have a closet full of stuff ... problem is, I don't have any money so now I can't spend. I understand ya, girl!

Hi Carla and everyone: It's so nice to have a computer at home again! I went out to see "Indiana Jones" today ... it was a lot of fun. I think tonight I'm going to watch a couple of the movies. I bought the boxed set of DVDs a few years ago and have never watched (although I saw all the movies when they were out, of course).  We had a late night at work last night because of a review of the Tom Petty concert. Still got out of there a little after midnight; I stayed up till nearly 3 a.m. watching TV that I had recorded and vegging out. I'm tired today and haven't done a whole lot. But the movie was fun. I walked through Barnes & Noble and looked at all the books (didn't buy anything; I just got all those books through the work book sale).  Carla, the new car sounds great. Does it get good gas mileage?  Well, I'm on the phone with my brother. Have a good day.

Hi Eileen, The new car gets about 27 in the city and 33 on the highway. It has a different feel to it because it doesnt shift like my vibe does. Should be interesting to say the least. I have never owned a Nissan. It has a keyless entry you just press a button on a key fob and wha la turn a switch and the stupid thing starts!!!!! Well Im going out to try to start it. Carla
